Andrea Stella is convinced his driver Lando Norris deserves a race win. After years of driving for McLaren, Norris has still not managed to secure a win, even though he has come close many times.

Lando Norris has not come this close to a win since the 2021 Russian Grand Prix. With pole position for the sprint race in China, it seemed to finally happen, but then he lost his first place at the first corner of the race. Team boss Andrea Stella is confident in his driver after all.

"I think Lando has been able to improve many points and opportunities this year that we identified last year. For example, qualifying. Last year he was fast, but we had several situations, like in Qatar, where he could have been on pole position, but both laps in Q3 were deleted," Stella says.

With this progression, Stella believes there should be a win for the young Briton. "He is doing a very good job working on those things," he said. According to the team boss, Norris is becoming more skilled and consistent in driving the races. So if it were up to Stella, it is only a matter of time until the British national anthem will play for Lando Norris.
