Perez prepared to get 'Newey questions' in press conference

2 May - 11:15

With the Miami Grand Prix, the sixth race of the season is already scheduled this weekend. Before that happens, however, there is another Thursday press conference. As in China, Max Verstappen won't feature. Teammate Sergio Perez will, however, on behalf of Red Bull Racing.

Perez will no doubt be asked about the departure of Adrian Newey. The top designer decided this week to take up a new challenge, according to the rumour circuit fuelled partly by the unrest within Red Bull. He will be joined by Lance Stroll, Oscar Piastri, Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas and Logan Sargeant.

Christian Horner is no doubt also going to be asked those questions about Newey this weekend, but not in Friday's press conference. The team principal of the Milton Keynes-based team already got to act at the Shanghai International Circuit a fortnight ago, so he will not be there in Miami. Mike Krack however will feature, who is the team principal of one of the teams who will try and sign the Briton.

Thursday's press conference starts at 19:30 (GMT). Friday's one is an one hour later, at 20:30 (GMT).
