Following the Miami Grand Prix, ESPN have announced that the race broke a new record in terms of TV audience in the United States. Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton himself was passionate about the growing support for the competition he drives in.

Everything went according to plan for the sport to be advertised in the USA. Star players from the NFL and the NBA including Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Jimmy Butler showed up, there was a surprise winner in Lando Norris - with his first victory in Formula One he also created a special moment -, and there was a controversy with Kevin Magnussen's penalties during the sprint and then he crashed into Logan Sargeant.

In the paddock, Lewis Hamilton was really happy that F1 now reach more and more people in the United States. "What has this race done for you? I mean, I don't live here, so you have to tell me that. But what I can say is just, I love Miami. The weather is incredible, and the people have been so welcoming, and really, this is even better than every other year we've been here, just in terms of the audience, the vibe in the city, the energy that it's had," the Briton said.

Hamilton is now finally able to share his passion for his sport with the country. "I can't tell you how much I appreciate a sport that I've loved since I was four years old. Coming to America, at the beginning, no one knew it and had that same love as me, and I was like, wait, you guys like basketball the same as I love basketball, but particularly racing. And now people have that buzz, that love, and it's really great to see."
