Vote | Who was the Driver of the Day for the Brazilian Grand Prix?
Max Verstappen won the 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver didn't face serious pressure during the race and cruised to his 17th win of the year. Lando Norris came second and very briefly challenged Verstappen early on but wouldn't have been able to keep him behind if the McLaren driver made the move successful. Fernando Alonso rounded out the podium and beat Sergio Perez by less than one-tenth.
Close duel for the last podium spot
It was one of the most remarkable finishes of the season. Perez and Alonso duelled for several laps, which intensified in the closing stages. Perez overtook Alonso before Alonso returned the favour. The Mexican tried to get him back but needed a few more metres. There were stunning displays of attack and defence by both drivers. Those two are the favourites for the driver of the day, but let us know your vote in the poll and comments below.
Other candidates include Verstappen and Norris. Yuki Tsunoda once again earned points for AlphaTauri and finished ninth in Brazil. It would have been a perfect race for the Japanese driver, but he made a mistake on his first stint, going off to the grass in Sector 2.
