Doohan opts for the same number as a previous world chamipion

Future Formula 1 Driver Jack Doohan will drive for Alpine next season. During the Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend, he revealed what number he will be driving with. Hint: it's an icy one.
Jack Doohan is set to make his Formula 1 debut in 2025 with Alpine. This comes after waiting in the wings for a long time. He will replace current Alpine driver Esteban Ocon.
Jack Doohan's F1 number
Doohan took X to announce his number in a post inspired by Las Vegas. He announced that he will be driving with the number 7. This is not the first time he has raced with this number. He also raced with the number 7 in 2019.
Another reason that Doohan has decided to go with the number 7 is because of one of his Formula 1 idols. Kimi Räikönnen. The Finnish driver once raced with the same number. Doohan considered him a very special person and Formula 1 driver.
