Sergio Perez will have to start the sprint race in Qatar from the pit lane. Moreover, the Mexican had to report to the stewards for another incident during sprint qualifying. Yuki Tsunoda also had to follow the Mexican.
Sergio Perez had a dramatic SQ1 session in Qatar, similarly to 'regular' qualifying Las Vegas, where he was eliminated already after the first session. Because the team made adjustments to his car's suspension setup, the Mexican has to start the sprint race from the pit lane, similarly to Franco Colapinto
Perez and Tsunoda had to report to the stewards for this reason
The Red Bull Racing driver, - and Yuki Tsunoda -, also had to report to the stewards earlier on Saturday for an incident during sprint qualifying. At 11:00 (GMT), the two had to report for violating sporting regulations.
Both drivers were said to have driven too slowly between safety car line 1 and safety car line 2. This goes against the rules that want to prevent drivers from driving too slowly on track to create a gap. Both drivers received a reprimand each. See the stewards' explanation below!
