The FIA has decided to not investigate Max Verstappen after his comments during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The FIA has decided not to investigate the Dutchman's comments. Verstappen can now enjoy his off-season without worrying about another punishment. The four-time world champion will do community service this week for the FIA at the annual prize-giving ceremony in Rwanda.

FIA decides not to investigate Verstappen:

GPblog can confirm that the FIA is not investigating Verstappen's statements made during the race. In his first-lap collision with Oscar Piastri, the stewards imposed a 10-second penalty and two penalty points on his licence onto his licence as it was deemed that his first corner dive was too optimistic. Statements made by drivers via their radio during the race are judged differently than their statements during an official press conference. Of course, the heat of the battle affects all the drivers up and down the grid.

Before his first pit stop, Verstappen had to stand still for 10 seconds and wait for the team to work on his car. This caused irritation among the four-time world champion, who said on the radio, "Can we get 20 seconds? Stupid idiots!" After the race, the four-time world champion explained to GPblog and others that he no longer understood anything about the penalties handed out by the stewards. After finishing in sixth place, Verstappen walked straight over to Piastri to apologise to him. He was clear that the incident was his fault and, therefore, took full responsibility for it.
