Hill admits for the first time: Sky Sports threw him out!
F1 News

With a brief statement via X, Damon Hill announced a few months ago that he had left Sky Sports. It did not clarify, however, whether the former world champion had taken it upon himself to leave or if the Briton had been sent away by the network. It is now clear that the latter was the case.
Hill does not reflect on his Sky Sports exit with resentment, though. "I think I felt like the end was coming anyway, because I was kind of pushed back all last year," he told the Telegraph.
"I was doing the less attractive races. And they’ve got younger, fresher names. They’ve got Jenson [Button], they’ve got Nico [Rosberg]. And that’s fair enough. I completely get it. They’re closer to the front line than I am. And it’s TV. There’s got to be a bit of eye-candy factor to it."
'Sky Sports, brilliant at what they do'
At this last comment, Hill laughs. No, he mostly looks back with a good feeling on the 13 years he spent at the sports channel as a F1 pundit, which owns the broadcasting rights of Formula 1 in the UK. Hill finds Sky 'brilliant at what they do', and there's one person in particular he holds in high regard: Martin Brundle is 'an absolute genius'.
It is still unclear whether Hill will hold a role of some sort in Formula 1 this season. For now, it does not appear to be the case.
