Leclerc reacts to second day of winter testing in Bahrain

Leclerc less enthusiastic than Hamilton: 'Difficult to draw conclusions'

When the teams arrived in Bahrain for winter testing it was clear that the weather was offering more than what they had bargained for. Strong winds, low temperatures and even rain awaited the teams at the Middle-Eastern track, something Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc feels hampered his 2nd day of winter testing.

Indeed, Ferrari man, Leclerc, didn't have the smoothest of sessions today, with him even spinning out coming out of the final turn due to low grip at the rear wheels, which could not cope with the stress they were being subjected to.

Bahrain's tricky conditions caught Leclerc out

"It was more tricky today on track, because of what are unusual weather conditions for Bahrain, with cooler temperatures and even some rain," said Leclerc in a Ferrari issued press release.

Nevertheless both team and driver managed to sort through the conditions to fulfill their goals during the afternoon session. "We ran through our planned programme, but with the conditions changing quickly, it was difficult to draw many conclusions. Tonight we are fully focused on analysing our data and preparing for the last day of testing tomorrow," concluded Leclerc.
