Ferrari has introduced a new front wing design for this weekend's French Grand Prix, tweaking the current design that hasn't seen the Italian team win a race in the first seven races.

The main changes in the wing are seen in the outboard section of the wing, while the endplates have also been adjusted to a new, rectangular shape (seen in the image above).

While the design is certainly a new interpretation of the front wing, it won't necessarily mean it's an upgrade from the old design, Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto explained

"In France we will have a few small evolutions, elements that represent for us a useful step in defining the direction we will take in developing the car," the Italian was quoted by Sky Sports F1.

"What we will be bringing won't be the solution to our problems, but the technical feedback we get from these evolutions will be important for the next steps we take."

Motorsport.com also report the old front wing designs have been brought to Le Castellet, suggesting back-to-back use of the new and old front wing to compare data during Free Practice sessions on Friday and Saturday.
