One of Ayrton Senna's most famous cars could be yours! His 1991 red Honda NSX 3.0 Coupe has appeared on AutoTrader. The three-time Formula 1 World Champion previously owned the car and was often photographed alongside it. The car has only had two previous owners.

Senna’s red Honda NSX, which is currently owned by Robert McFagan from East Sussex, is the Brazilian icon’s most famous NSX cars that he owned as this was kept at his Portuguese home whilst he was in the country and he was photographed washing the car in 1991. The car was also made famous in the film 'Racing is in My Blood'. In the film, Senna could be seen driving this car, even creating a wheel spin.

How to get Senna's stunning car

The car hit the race track in 2019 as part of the 25th anniversary of Senna’s tragic passing. It was taken to the Imola circuit and driven by Giancarlo Minardi in front of Senna fans. The car has currently completed 39,100 miles. If you want to get your hands on the car, it will set you back an astonishing £500,000. It can be found on the UK's largest automotive marketplace, Autotrader.

The current owner explained his story with the car. "I first bought the car in 2013 during a trip to the Algarve in Portugal and have owned it ever since where it has sat proudly at my estate in East Sussex. Senna’s red NSX was given to him by Honda who he had a commercial partnership with and Senna frequently used and was photographed with the car during his stays in Portugal," McFagan said.

"Being a huge Senna fan myself, I was delighted when I was able to get my hands on the NSX which was crafted to perfection and features a sleek and powerful machine to give an incredible experience on the road. It’s been a real pleasure owning what is one of the most famous cars belonging to a true sporting legend and the thrill of driving Senna’s car never goes away," he added.

Senna won the Formula 1 World Championship in 1988, 1990 and 1991. He is widely considered as one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time. He achieved 41 wins from 161 Grands Prix. He qualified on pole position in 40% of his Grands Prix. The Brazilian tragically died at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix in Imola.
