Jost Capito, the Williams team boss, has tested positive for the coronavirus, says the official website of the Formula 1. The German will therefore not be present during the Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia this weekend.

No further consequences for Williams

Capito's positive test came before he even travelled to the Middle East and therefore has not been contacted further by other Williams personnel. "There is no further impact on Williams Racing staff and the team will continue to operate on track as planned," reads a statement from the team.

Williams is paying tribute this weekend to Frank Williams, one of the team's founders, who died earlier this week. Williams died Sunday at the age of 79 after being hospitalized on Friday. Williams is currently eighth in the Constructors' Championship standings with 23 points.
