Final starting grid Saudi Arabia | Hamilton on pole, Verstappen P3
- GPblog.com
Now that there is clarity about the gearbox of Max Verstappen, the final starting grid for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is also known. The original starting grid remains unchanged.
Hamilton will start the race from the best position on the grid, while wingman Valtteri Bottas will try to cover his back. Verstappen may also be able to count on the help of teammate Sergio Perez. Perez struggled to get going on Friday, but showed he can be fast on Saturday. He will start from P5, and will have to deal with Charles Leclerc at the start in order to be able to follow his teammate.
Verstappen thinks that, mainly due to his speed on Saturday, he is in a good position to attack Mercedes. He will in any case have to outsmart Bottas at the start in order to be able to join title rival Hamilton.
