Max Verstappen believes he is not an aggressive driver. However, he has admitted that he will do anything to win a Grand Prix, especially when he has to defend a lot.
Mercedes calls Verstappen aggressive
Verstappen has been described as a very aggressive driver in recent weeks. Especially direct opponent Lewis Hamilton and his team Mercedes have been particuarly vocal about it. Verstappen does not necersarily agree.
"I don't want to eliminate him, I want to defeat him. That is a different wording. Some people find me aggressive, others very aggressive and some don't," the Red Bull Racing driver said in an interview with De Telegraaf.
Verstappen needs to defend more
Verstappen admits that he had to defend more than he likes in the recent Grands Prix. As a result, the Dutchman has to try extra hard because he cannot drive away from the competition. "I do everything I can to win. If I don't think like that, I'd better stay at home," he concluded.
