The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was the last race in Formula 1 for Kimi Raikkonen. What Raikkonen will do now is still uncertain, but he knows that he never wants to be in the management of a Formula 1 team.

The Finn started his career in 2001 with Sauber, and drove his last race in 2021 with Alfa Romeo. He has driven in Formula 1 with many different teams, and he was crowned world champion in 2007 with Ferrari.

Now that his career is over, it's time for a change. At the moment he has no plans, but he doesn't want to make any. He is mostly happy that he can now spend time with his wife and kids and not have to travel so much. "I've always found my life outside Formula 1 much more important than [the sport]. It takes a lot of time, but Formula 1 has never been the most important thing in my life," he told Welt.de

It seems to be getting worse

If the 42-year-old former driver gets bored, there was a suggestion he could always work for a Formula 1 team, for example as a test driver or on the board, but Raikkonen rejected that idea immediately and criticised the Formula 1 teams: "There is too much nonsense and politics involved. That's the way it is, but it seems to be getting worse and worse."
