Horner on his good side: 'It's unfair'

Christian Horner and Red Bull Racing finally managed to win the Drivers' Championship this season. It's a happy result for the Austrian team, and that's not the case at Mercedes, as Horner also knows.
The Germans are still feeling robbed by the race direction. While it seemed for a long time that Lewis Hamilton would win the world title, it went wrong at the end of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. However, Horner believes the stewards did the right thing for Formula 1, he told The Telegraph.
"It was just an accident," the team boss points to Nicholas Latifi's crash, which Red Bull was fine with. "The marshals did a great job of recovering the car in time, and Michael opted to get the race going again. It's unfair, the abuse he has received. One side is always going to be unhappy."
Horner supports Verstappen in victory
The British team boss is therefore disappointed in Red Bull's competitor, who did not attend the FIA's gala last Thursday. According to Horner, Verstappen deserved the world title this season, and he is therefore proud of his team's performance in 2021.
