Verstappen looks ahead: 'When I'm there, I think I want to win again'

Now that Max Verstappen has won the championship, the Dutchman's dream has come true. However, at the age of 24 he still has a few years to go in Formula 1. The one-time world champion talks about his expectations for next year.
Verstappen has been invited together with Helmut Marko for an interview at the Austrian channel ServusTV. The Dutchman is asked if winning the title will have an influence on next year. Will he be more relaxed?
"It's always difficult to say now. Of course I was already calmed down after Sunday. My dream was always to become world champion. Everything that comes now is a bonus", he responds. Verstappen is the very first Dutchman to win the championship in F1.
Hopefully a fast car again
Next year the grid might change due to the new regulations. So it's hard to know where Red Bull stands in the new season, especially compared to Mercedes. One thing is for sure: if Verstappen is back in a fast car, he will fight for the title again.
"When I'm there again at the first race, I think I want to win again. If I have a fast car, I will." Marko responds that it doesn't have to be another intense title fight like this year. Verstappen agrees. Ideally, he would like to win the title already with two or three races to go.
