Norris 'feels ready' to beat Verstappen and Hamilton

Next year Lando Norris will drive for the McLaren team again. The British driver indicates that he is ready to beat Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton in the coming years. With the arrival of the new regulations, the team hopes to return to the top.
In 2021 Norris took no less than four podiums and his first pole position. Unfortunately, he missed out on his first win in F1 after a dramatic race in Russia. During the second half of the season, the McLaren driver performed a little less, but he still called it his best season in the sport so far.
The fact that Norris was able to fight on track with drivers like Hamilton and Sergio Perez on several occasions gives him hope. In Austria, for example, Norris overtook the seven-time world champion for a podium position.
Norris 'ready to beat them'
"The only thing it really gives you is confidence that, if you're there more often or you have a better car, then there's no reason why they should be able to beat you if you're in the same car", he tells Express.
Norris thinks he is ready to fight with the drivers at the top, who knows next season and otherwise in two years time. The more you fight with them, the more experience a driver gets, the Brit believes. "When you are more often in this position, then you feel ready to beat them."
