Dakar Rally 2022 | Results Stage 6: Motorcycles and quads neutralized
- GPblog.com
With the sixth stage, it is almost time for the rest day in the 2022 Dakar Rally. Friday's route runs in a loop again, starting and ending in Riyadh. In doing so, the routes will be reversed: the motorcycles and quads will follow the route taken by the cars and trucks in the fifth stage. However, the conditions on that route have deteriorated so much that the stage for motorcycles and quads has been neutralized.
Results Motorcycles
This means that the rest day for the motorcycle and quad riders starts earlier than for the rest. For safety reasons, the organization neutralized the sixth stage after 101 kilometers. The conditions on the route had deteriorated considerably due to the passage of the cars and trucks the day before, combined with bad weather. Therefore, the timings after 101 kilometers are used as the final result.
Daniel Sanders has won the stage. The Australian also won the first stage. Sam Sunderland follows in second place, with Matthias Walkner third. The complete top ten of the motorcycles is as follows:
