Aston Martin does great business for future: 'Perfect leader'
- GPblog.com
Aston Martin announced this month the successor to Otmar Szafnauer. Mike Krack is the man who will lead the team in the coming years at the British racing team. Scott Mitchell is confident that Krack is capable of doing so.
The journalist from The Race is convinced that Aston Martin are making a wise choice by bringing Krack into the team. With his experience, the new leader can not only be of value to the team, but also seems to have the qualities to push the formation in the coming years towards the ultimate goal: winning the world title.
Confidence in Krack is high at Aston Martin
Aston Martin expressed several times last season that the switch needed to be made. After an excellent 2020, where they were competitive in the midfield, 2021 was seen as a step back. The step up to the big teams like Red Bull Racing and Mercedes still seems too big, but Aston Martin wants to get there in the next five years.
According to Mitchell, confidence in Krack is high. "Krack might be the perfect leader to protect Aston Martin's existing strengths while also being able to cope with the higher stakes that come with running an ambitious F1 team," he wrote.
