'Imola GP close to a deal for permanent place on F1 calendar'

For the past two seasons, Imola has been part of the Formula One calendar. The circuit was added to the schedule because of the corona pandemic, but it looks like Imola will now be on the calendar longer.
The circuit already made a call in 2021 that it would like to have a permanent place on the calendar in the future. There is currently an asterisk behind the Imola Grand Prix on the calendar, as the contract is subject to change.
The Italian automobile club ACI has been working for months on a second Grand Prix in Italy besides Monza. Until now there was no news about the signing of an agreement, but that now seems to change.

The asterisk behind the Imola GP could disappear in early February. The new contract that will keep Imola on the calendar until 2025 would have been received by the ACI. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the budget deviation, necessary for the signing of the agreement, will be approved on February 8. After this, the contract will be able to be officially signed. The race will take place in 2022 from April 22 to 24.
