The Singapore Grand Prix will remain on the Formula One calendar until 2028. This was revealed by Formula 1 on Thursday morning, together with the organization of the GP.

Return to Singapore

The Singapore GP was not organised in the last two years due to the coronavirus. In 2020 the race was already excluded from the new calendar and in 2021 it was also canceled. However, if all goes according to plan, the race will be organised again in 2022 on the weekend of 30 September to 2 October.

Now Formula 1 has also announced that the race will remain on the calendar until 2028. Stefano Domenicali is naturally happy with the extension of this contract and talks about a long-term goal to grow the sport in the Asian market. Grand Prix chairman Ong Beng Seng is also very happy that Singapore can host the race for another seven years.
