- GPblog.com
The Singapore Grand Prix will remain on the Formula One calendar for another seven years, and that is causing a lot of reactions online. For example, Red Bull Racing and Mercedes are happy and show a nice video.
Singapore loved by fans and teams
It was announced on Thursday morning that the Singapore GP has extended its contract with Formula One through 2028. The race was not on the calendar for the last two seasons due to the coronavirus, but returned to the schedule in 2022. So that will continue to be the case for the next seven years.
Teams are also reacting positively to the news and the reactions of Red Bull Racing and Mercedes are particularly notable. Mercedes is very happy with the news and shows a pole lap of Lewis Hamilton on the Marina Bay Circuit. Max Verstappen never picked up pole, but did have a unique encounter with 'Godzilla' at the circuit which the team looks back on.
