After a little over a week of searching, the FIA has found its Chairman of the FIA Commission of Environment. It is the former president of Mexico Felipe Calderón.
FIA working on changes
On Friday, February 4, FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem announced that some major changes would be made within the organization. The former rally driver announced that he wanted to create a group of FIA Commission Presidents. This group should ensure that the diversity within the organization increases.
The Mexican television program Reacción En Cadena announced in a tweet that the President of the FIA Commission of Environment has now been found. It has in fact become Calderón, the former president of the Latin American country.
Calderón in Mexican politics
The 59-year-old Calderón is still a politician in Mexico of the conservative National Action Party, also known as PAN. He led the country for a total of six years from December 1, 2006 to November 30, 2012.
