"He looks spectacular. I can't wait to see it in action on the track," Brown said proudly at the launch. The McLaren CEO is looking forward to building on the successful 2021 season, in which the team achieved pole position and victory for the first time in a long time with Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo respectively.
In addition, the American underlines McLaren's success in the IndyCar class, which the team plans to focus on even more in the coming years. Brown leads several McLaren teams in different racing classes, but he says he doesn't have to make much effort to make all the drivers feel like they belong to the same family. "At McLaren, we are all racers," he says. "We motivate each other, everyone loves what they do and we all want to win."
An intense battle raged between McLaren and Ferrari in 2021, with the Woking-based racing stable ultimately losing out to the Italian Scuderia. That battle is expected to continue unabated during the upcoming Formula One season.
