Daniel Ricciardo is not worried about any consequences of Lando Norris' contract extension. The 22-year-old Brit signed on until 2025, while Ricciardo has a contract until the end of 2023. In addition, the Australian said he has an option to extend his contract with McLaren.
For now, Ricciardo is not worried about his future. He praised both Norris and McLaren for the new deal, especially from a business perspective. "I think it's a good move for McLaren to tie Lando to them for longer," he said according to FormulaRapida.net.

"Not only did he have a very strong season last year, he has done very well since he started in Formula 1," continued the 32-year-old Australian. He also sees that Norris is very comfortable in the team and feels at home there, and therefore describes the contract extension as a 'win-win' situation for both parties.
Ricciardo himself would not be so quick to sign a long-term contract. The next two years he is fine, but he says he does not know what the situation will be like in five years. "So there are two guaranteed years and then there is an option to renew with the team," he stated. However, those talks will not start until the second half of 2022 at the earliest.
