The new 2022 Formula 1 season is getting closer and closer, and so teams and drivers are therefore getting ready for the start. In GPblog's F1 Social Stint you can find out what drivers and teams are doing during the winter break.
Zhou explains idea behind helmet design
Guanyu Zhou explains how he came up with his helmet design. The first 22 year old driver is proud of the fact that he is the very first Chinese to reach Formula 1, so there are many Chinese features on the helmet.

Ricciardo in good spirits in Barcelona
Although Daniel Ricciardo did not step into the McLaren MCL36 on Wednesday, he was already present at the track. A video has appeared on social media in which a good-humoured Ricciardo can be seen. There is a big smile on his face and he waves to Sebastian Vettel who drives by.

Ferrari at full speed on Catalunya
Ferrari has opted to record several days of filming straight away. Having already done a shakedown on its own Fiorano circuit, the team chooses to do a second shakedown before the first week of testing. Enjoy and listen to F1-75!

Hamilton pauses in support of his brother
Lewis Hamilton, in a message on his Twitter account, took a moment to reflect on the support he receives from his brother Nicolas. According to the seven-time world champion, few people have believed in him more than Nicolas.

Documentary about Max Verstappen
The French Canal+ is working on a documentary about Max Verstappen. The film crew will visit the primary school and the karting track in Genk, where the Dutchman raced since he was a child. The documentary will be aired on March 12th and is called "Verstappen - Born to win".

Ferrari tests new F1-75 on its own Fiorano
Ferrari will drive on its own test track at Fiorano on Friday. The Italian team presented the new F1-75 on Thursday and is using a filming day to test the new car. In doing so Ferrari is following the example of Red Bull Racing on Thursday.

Jos Verstappen prepares for rally debut
Verstappen senior posted another picture of him in a race car on his Instagram. The former Formula 1 driver is preparing for his participation in the Rally of Haspengouw on 26 February. The rally is part of the Belgian Rally Championship. Verstappen will participate in the race with a Citroën C3 R5, with which he can also be seen in the photo posted on Wednesday.

Wolff in the spotlight at Mercedes

Sunglasses show for Zhou and Bottas
Guanyu Zhou, Valtteri Bottas and also Robert Kubica have put on their sunglasses for a new campaign from Alfa Romeo. The Italian team has made a deal with Web Eyewear and so the drivers are being photographed in the style of Kimi Raikkonen.

Mercedes gets ready for its car launch
Mercedes will present the new W13 for the 2022 Formula One season on 18 February, and the team is already excited for the launch. However, fans of the German team still have to wait a few days before the car George Russell and Lewis Hamilton will drive this year is shown.
