Alfa Romeo appears with spectactular camouflage livery during shakedown
- GPblog.com
Alfa Romeo Racing will not officially unveil its new C42 until February 27, after the first week of winter tests at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. However, this Tuesday the Italian formation has already undergone the shakedown at a Fiorano.
Valtteri Bottas came into action in the morning on rain tires, reports Motorsport.com. Alfa Romeo has come up with a different livery than it will use at the start of the season. In order not to give away too many details to the competition, a camouflage livery was driven.
Zhou also in action?
During a shakedown, a maximum of one hundred kilometers can be driven. This day is mainly used to check if there are no strange things going on towards the winter tests. Whether next to Bottas the Chinese Guanyu Zhou will also be in action is unclear.
Alfa Romeo hopes to take advantage of the 2022 regulations and take a step forward on the F1 grid. In recent years the team from Hinwil has been less and less successful, but with the C42 and a new driver line-up, the road upwards should be started.
