Norris in limbo: 'We don't know'
- GPblog.com
Lando Norris hopes to compete for prizes with McLaren this season. The British racing team has done everything to improve in recent months and makes a positive impression at first glance. Norris is still not sure about the outcome, as he told GQ.com.
Anyone who watched Norris race last season could already see some great qualities about him. With an inferior car, the Brit managed to stay close to Mercedes and Red Bull Racing in the first half of the season. Both teams proved to be too fast for him in the end, but it did give hope for the future.
Norris not looking far ahead yet
With the new regulations that apply in Formula 1 from this season, the world has suddenly changed for Norris. McLaren seems to have a good chance to end up among the top teams, so the driver could possibly fight for prizes. However, Norris does not yet dare to set any goals.
"In terms of results and positions, there's nothing that I can say because we don't know how good our car is going to be," he explains. "We don't know what everyone else’s cars are going to be like. Of course, we have high expectations and we want to be confident and motivated and so on, but there are so many rule changes this year, so no-one really knows where they're going to stack up. So time will tell."
