Future of Kvyat in limbo after withdrawal of his Russian team from WEC

His Russian passport made Nikita Mazepin get sidelined by Haas. Another prominent driver also sees his season go up in smoke. Daniil Kvyat is without a team in the WEC, as his team pulled the plug on the project in protest.
No signature
G-Drive was supposed to compete in the World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year. But the team's boss, Roman Rusinov, has announced on Instagram that he is withdrawing because he refuses to accept the conditions set by the FIA. Russians are only allowed to participate in races if they renounce Russian aggression in Ukraine.
In Russian, Rusinov reported "not putting my signature under the document. He also indicated that he is looking at setting up motorsport projects in his own country. At the same time, Rusinov does indicate that he hopes to return to international motorsport in due course.
Refusal
For former F1 driver Kvyat the cancellation has major consequences. The Russian has lost his seat for this season. It is questionable whether Kvyat would have been allowed to drive. Reportedly, he too refused to put his signature under the necessary document.
