The second day of the winter test in Bahrain is over, and with it, the final winter test is already over halfway. Ferrari once again managed to score high points, but Red Bull Racing was also productive with Max Verstappen. At the end of the day, however, the fastest time came from a completely unexpected source.
Magnussen surprises with fastest time
On the second day of testing at the Bahrain International Circuit it was again Ferrari that looked very stable. The name of Carlos Sainz was on top of the timesheet at the end of the session, but that time was surprisingly improved by Kevin Magnussen.
Magnussen surprisingly clocked the fastest time on the first day of his comeback with Haas, on which the team was given extra time due to the delay incurred along the way.
Red Bull Racing productive with Verstappen
Max Verstappen ended the day with a third time. He was particularly productive with Red Bull Racing, completing 86 laps on the second day of testing. Only Esteban Ocon and Yuki Tsunoda preceded him, with 111 and 120 laps driven respectively.
