Hamilton works on himself: 'Much more engaged'
- GPblog.com
Lewis Hamilton has been part of Formula 1 for many years. In those years, the seven-time world champion learned a lot about himself and the motorsport class, from which he still benefits. He tells this in an interview with the official website of Formula 1.
Whereas Hamilton has had many years of success with Mercedes, the Briton also had a number of seasons in which he had more difficulty grabbing the world title. Last season, for example, he fought out a tough battle with Max Verstappen, ultimately having to settle for second place in the world championship.
The situations frequently taught him to deal with pressure. Hamilton sees that he has improved a lot in this respect, he says in the interview. "I feel I am more efficient in how I train," Hamilton states. "I am way more into that than ever before, sleep, all these sorts of things."
Wolff expects exciting battle
This coming weekend, the first race in Bahrain awaits Hamilton. His team boss Toto Wolff has already let it be known that he is very curious about the balance of power, which has been turned upside down by the new regulations. Mercedes is not yet the big favorite to win the race: Red Bull Racing and Ferrari have the best chances.
