Windsor impressed: 'Verstappen drove laps like Schumacher and Prost'

Red Bull Racing's strong form on Friday in Bahrain has not escaped Formula One analyst Peter Windsor either. The Brit is heavily impressed by the 'brilliant' RB18, but also by the way Max Verstappen drives it.
"Very good news for the Red Bull and Max Verstappen fan: the car is as good as it looked during testing," Windsor heralds his analysis on his Youtube channel. "The RB18, Adrian Newey's latest gem, was simply brilliant on Friday in Bahrain."
'Nirvana' for Verstappen in first race as world champion
The British analyst explains that the Red Bull car was excellent in all conditions: in the heat of the afternoon, with much or little fuel, with soft tires or medium tires, everything seemed to work well for the team from Milton Keynes.
Windsor emphasizes that not only is the car brilliant, but Verstappen deserves a lot of credit for the way he drives it. "Max drove Michael Schumacher, Alain Prost, Jackie Stewart laps," he continues his analysis. According to Windsor, Verstappen very rarely deviated from his line and the car seemed to be "glued to the asphalt".
"For Verstappen, at his first race as reigning world champion, this is nirvana, especially as Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton are in massive trouble," concludes Windsor, who also sees Verstappen and Red Bull excelling in race pace.
