Marko gives Verstappen hope: 'Will come back at full speed'

Red Bull Racing could not be satisfied with the final result after the first Grand Prix weekend in Bahrain. Due to problems with the car, both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez could not finish their race, leaving the team with zero points. Helmut Marko, however, expects things to improve soon.
During the test days in Barcelona and Bahrain, Red Bull made a positive impression. It ensured that confidence in the Austrian racing team was very high, but it could not live up to this in the opening race. Verstappen and Perez were devastated when they had no choice but to drive to the pit lane and get out of the RB18.
Where Red Bull had a stable season in 2021 with few cancellations, the counter now stands at two. Marko, however, remains confident in the team. The Red Bull advisor knows that the problem with the fuel supply has been solved, so Verstappen and Perez do not have to fear a repeat.
Marko thinks Red Bull will come back stronger
At the same time, Marko saw that Red Bull had enough speed compared to the competition. "In principle we were fast enough," he told F1-insider.com. "We just couldn't reach our potential at the decisive moment. In Saudi Arabia we will come back at full speed and fight for the win."
