Verstappen looks mainly to Ferrari: "They look competitive again"

There will be driving in Saudi Arabia this weekend after all, and that means Friday's practice sessions were not in vain. Max Verstappen looks back on a smooth Friday in Jeddah.
Verstappen sees backlog to Ferrari
The situation around the whole weekend in Jeddah has been anything but smooth, but on track Verstappen didn't have much of a problem. Although the Jeddah Corniche Circuit is a very intense track, crashes generally did not occur. Verstappen was also able to complete his program solidly because of this. The Dutchman was just not able to set a fast lap on the red soft tyre due to traffic and a virtual safety car. Therefore, his second time on the ranking that he set on Friday is somewhat distorted.
Verstappen said in a press release that he is satisfied with Friday. The Red Bull-driver also admitted that he is watching Ferrari this weekend: “The sessions ran quite smoothly today, we completed our programme and tried out lots of different tyre sets. It seems like Ferrari were quite competitive again, we still have a little bit of work to do to catch up with them and there’s plenty of room for improvement."
