Update | Sainz looks set to start, but Ferrari are holding their nerve
- GPblog.com
It is uncertain whether Carlos Sainz will actually be able to participate in the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. There is currently a lot of work on the Ferrari car of the Spaniard. Possibly it is a problem with the electronics.
The work is being done in the pit box, but in no time the cars will be called to the starting grid. In the meantime, the FIA is looking at which parts the Ferrari mechanics are currently changing. In principle, it is parc fermé, but some parts may still be replaced, especially when safety could otherwise be at stake.
Ferrari discovered the problem around 30 minutes ago and, logically, the team from Maranello is now doing everything possible to repair Sainz's car in time.
Some work going on down at Scuderia Ferrari. It appears that something electronic was removed and replaced Carlos Sainz car.

Update | Ferrari seems optimistic
Sources within Ferrari have reported that the problem has been solved for now. However, it is stated that only during racing it will become clear whether the solution works well enough to be able to drive the entire Grand Prix.
