'GP Australia offers possible clarity for Red Bull and Ferrari'
- GPblog.com
Ferrari and Red Bull Racing have another important weekend ahead of them. The two top teams seem to be deciding again who will take pole position. Chris Medland thinks that during the Australian Grand Prix things may become clear.
Whereas last season the Austrian racing stable was still competing with Mercedes for the world title, in 2022 Red Bull will have to deal with Ferrari for the time being. Charles Leclerc took victory for the Italian racing team in Bahrain, while he crossed the finish line second in Saudi Arabia a week later.
Leclerc and Verstappen showed in both races that they are evenly matched, as the spectators along the track saw some brilliant battles. It is expected that both drivers will continue the battle in Australia, where it is still difficult to determine who is the favorite for the win.
Red Bull and Ferrari to get their feet wet
The journalist from Formula1.com thinks that next weekend's results could say something about where the teams currently stand. "The early signs are that there will be even more fights on-track this weekend," Medland looks ahead. "If one team has a clear advantage, it could start to mark out one as the title favourite over the other."
