The discussion surrounding the use of DRS has flared up. After the scenes that took place between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner led that discussion by stating that DRS zones should be looked at. Toto Wolff, on the other hand, thinks the system is fine the way it is.
Wolff enjoyed DRS duel Verstappen and Leclerc
The Mercedes team boss says he enjoyed the duel between Verstappen and Leclerc, who cleverly tried to outrun each other entering the DRS zone on the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. "I like it personally," Wolff told Sky Sports after the race.
According to the Austrian, the new cars have delivered what Formula 1 was hoping for, although for his own team they are not yet working as hoped. He also thinks DRS is proving its worth. "It provides a great show now. I think that was entertaining to watch," Wolff concluded.
While the debate surrounding DRS is heating up, drivers will actually be presented with more DRS zones than ever this coming weekend. The Albert Park circuit has made a number of changes to encourage overtaking and has created no less than four DRS zones.
