With the contract extension of Carlos Sainz, there are already ten drivers fixed for the Formula 1 season of 2023 and some even for longer. GPblog lists the contract situations at all teams for you.

Sainz signs new deal

Sainz has extended his contract at Ferrari until 2024, which puts him in a special category. In recent years it is striking that more and more teams choose to sign drivers for a longer period, and drivers therefore also opt for longer collaborations. This is a completely new trend in Formula 1.

For the 2023 F1 season, ten drivers have already been officially confirmed by the teams. Many of those drivers have a multi-year contract and therefore do not have to worry for the time being. The eleventh driver is Lance Stroll. Aston Martin does not make any statements about his contract, but as long as Lawrence Stroll is the boss of the team his son does not seem to have to worry.
