Verstappen teases Hamilton after Chelsea bid: 'I would never buy Ajax'

Max Verstappen is making fun of his former title rival Lewis Hamilton. The Brit would like to co-bid on the soccer club Chelsea and Verstappen finds that strange since Hamilton is an Arsenal fan.
Hamilton, along with tennis star Serena Williams, wants to bid twenty million along with Martin Broughton's bid to buy Chelsea. The club has been without an owner since Russian oligarch Abramovich stepped down. The two athletes want to participate in the bid to have a say on the board and improve diversity within the club.
Verstappen makes fun of Hamilton
Verstappen seems particularly surprised that his rival is investing in a club he is not a fan of. The Independent quotes the Dutchman provoking Hamilton: "I am a PSV fan and I would never buy Ajax. If I were to buy a soccer club at all, I would want to be the full owner and make the decisions myself, not just for a small percentage." Verstappen continues in the hope of further baiting Hamilton: "I thought he was an Arsenal fan. As an Arsenal fan going for Chelsea, I think it's quite an interesting choice. In the end, everyone decides on their own money. I'm curious to see what comes of it."
