''That shows how good Verstappen was and how much control he had''

Max Verstappen has scored an important victory in the 2022 Formula One championship. The Dutchman's win in Imola ensured that the gap to Charles Leclerc in the championship was reduced, and Peter Windsor saw a rock-solid performance from the Red Bull Racing driver.
After a strong start, there was no problem for Verstappen. During the Emilia Romagna GP, the Dutchman did not have any problems at all, he saw that his teammate managed to hold off Leclerc with the Ferrari driver also going into the wall. On the YouTube Channel of Windsor, he discusses the race of the reigning world champion.
Verstappen in control
''A lot of interesting things about Verstappen's day. A few moments to really remember, but there weren't really any important aspects of his racing that I can highlight and that just shows how good he was and how much control he had in this race. He was a perfect example of going fast at the right time and being quiet at the right time,'' Windsor says in his new video.
A key moment Windsor cites is when Leclerc, Sergio Perez and Verstappen went in for new softs. Windsor analyzed the times in the first few laps on those fresh tyres and saw that Verstappen was much calmer than Leclerc and Perez. This eventually worked out well, as Verstappen would later accelerate and set the fastest lap time, where Leclerc was too eager and ended up in the wall.
