'Leclerc is fast, but now see how good he is over a whole season'

Gerhard Berger is critical of Charles Leclerc. At ServusTV 's Sport und Talk, the former Formula 1 driver speaks out about the Monegasque's blunder at the Imola Grand Prix.
Berger has been closely involved with Red Bull Racing in the past, but also has a past with Ferrari as a driver. The Austrian was therefore on the edge of his seat during Sunday's race. He was neutral in the duel between Red Bull and Ferrari, but makes no secret of the fact that he is a fan of Max Verstappen and his aggressive racing style.
Mistake by Leclerc
Despite the friends he says he still has within Ferrari, Berger is critical of its driver. Leclerc hit the wall in the closing stages of the race in an attempt to still attack Sergio Perez's second place. "You can't afford such mistakes in a tough championship. In a duel it can happen, but he drove all alone with all the time in the world.''
Leclerc was lucky to drive on, but he did give away a certain P3 and with it fifteen points. He still drove to sixth place. ''He gave away seven points. Leclerc is a fast driver, there is no doubt about that. Now, however, we will see how he does over a full season in a title fight,'' Berger concluded.
