Marko: "I would not go so far as to say that we are already a power"

Helmut Marko is a happy man after Max Verstappen's victory in the Grand Prix at Imola. The Red Bull Racing advisor saw his team take a big step forward thanks to the updates that have been introduced. Red Bull dominated on all fronts in Italy, but Marko doesn't want to get too excited.
According to Marko, the gap to Ferrari was large, but Red Bull "knew they could always make up for it. The recovery may have already come sooner than expected, as last weekend the Austrians were by far the better side compared to their rivals from Maranello. "In Imola everything worked and Ferrari makes mistakes," says Marko.
Will old times be revived?
With Verstappen and Sergio Perez, Red Bull managed to score a one-two finish for the first time since 2016. The last time it happened, Daniel Ricciardo managed to seize the victory and Verstappen crossed the finish line in second place. Will Red Bull relive the times of 2010 to 2013 when, with Sebastian Vettel, they managed to win many world titles in a row? Marko is cautious in his statements.
"I would not go so far as to say that we are already a power," the Austrian told F1-Insider. There seemed to be a little bit of panic at Red Bull after the Australian Grand Prix. The reliability was not up to standard and also in terms of performance the gap to Ferrari was large. Meanwhile, peace seems to have returned to the team from Milton Keynes.
