Mercedes hopes to take updates to Miami: 'Encouraging signs'

Mercedes hopes to bring updates to solve the porpoising problem before the Miami Grand Prix. Andrew Shovlin states in the F1 Race Debrief from Mercedes However, he also states that it needs to be looked at step by step.
After eight world titles in a row, the 2022 Formula One season is a major setback for Mercedes. The German racing team is still third in the constructors' standings, but in Imola, both cars did not even make it to Q3. Only George Russell scored points, while Lewis Hamilton didn't get further than a thirteenth place.
Problems at Mercedes
From the beginning of this season, Mercedes has been struggling with a bouncing W13. As a result, the car has to be tuned higher and the team is losing speed as a result. The reigning champion is now looking to see if there is an aerodynamic solution that will make this problem go away, which seems to be taking a similar approach to Ferrari.
''Realistically, we have to look at this step by step, rather than one moment where all the problems are gone at once. However, we are seeing encouraging signs and hope to bring updates soon, perhaps even in Miami, that will further solve this problem,'' said Shovlin, Mercedes' Trackside Engineering Director.
