Andretti hates to see Sainz like this: 'Leclerc is always right there'

For Carlos Sainz, Friday in Miami went dramatically after a crash during the second free practice session. The Spaniard has already ended up in the wall several times this season, but Mario Andretti believes in the talent of the Ferrari driver.
Sainz topped the timesheet with the fastest lap in FP2 before his Ferrari landed in the wall. The damage meant the end of the session, causing the Spaniard to lose a lot of time.
Former Formula One driver Andretti stands up for Sainz. The Ferrari driver has already crashed several times this season, including during qualifying and the race, but Andretti knows all too well what it's like to drive for Ferrari.
Sainz feels the pressure
"Sometimes you just can’t catch a breath. You’re trying but you still have to be right on top of it all, and the competition doesn’t get any softer," Andretti begins on Sky Sports. "So he’s on it, his team-mate [Charles Leclerc] obviously is always right there. I hate to see it, obviously we all do, but he’ll get it right.”
Andretti hopes Sainz remains dedicated and does not lose his motivation. The American expects to get through this difficult period. "I don’t think they have to put any more pressure on him than he has on himself. He’s up there, he’s capable, it’s just about maybe just refining certain aspects of it."
