Internet reacts to qualifying: 'That's why Dan Fallows is gone at Red Bull'
- GPblog.com
After qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix, there was plenty to discuss. Max Verstappen couldn't do a second run due to a DRS problem, while Charles Leclerc just ruined his first run only to set a perfect second run. Here's what the internet had to say about it.
Green Red Bull
Of course, Aston Martin's "green Red Bull" is not forgotten either, and there are some raunchy jokes about the AMR22B. "Red Bull said that 50 percent of the performance will be released after full payment," reads one comment. "Now I understand why Dan Fallows doesn't work for Red Bull Racing anymore," says another. Someone else advises the team to copy the front wing as well.
There is, of course, also praise for Leclerc, who had to set his pole lap under great pressure. Where he made a mistake in his first run and spun, he used his last chance to drive a perfect lap.
Hamilton gets pole position in fashion
Consolation prizes are also handed out on the internet: for example, Lewis Hamilton is awarded the 'pole position in fashion' after yet another unusual outfit, and Valtteri Bottas is named 'Mr. Consistency'.
