Rain was predicted all week during the Monaco Grand Prix, but this morning the chances seemed slim that it would still rain in Monte Carlo during the race. Nevertheless, the first drops have already been spotted around the circuit.

Most drivers are hoping for rain during the race in Monaco, as overtaking on the street circuit is difficult. Wet conditions could provide opportunities with safety cars and possible red flags. Max Verstappen is also hoping he can do something in the rain from P4.

Still rain in Monaco?

The clouds are now piling up over the Monaco circuit. In the hills next to the circuit it has started to rain, so who knows the showers will move over the track. The first spits of rain have also been reported on the grid. According to the weather forecast, the rain will still only fall after the finish line, but the blue sky is nowhere to be seen.
