'Haas looking at replacement for Schumacher, Aston Martin interested'

Mick Schumacher didn't exactly give his calling card in Monaco with another big crash. The German is under pressure and in a blog post by Joe Saward, it becomes clear that at Haas they are having doubts too.
Schumacher disappoints
In 2021, Schumacher was still the man at Haas. The son of Michael Schumacher was no second fiddle to Nikita Mazepin, but in 2022 the roles are reversed. With Kevin Magnussen at his side, Schumacher is losing out and in his attempt to make up for that deficit, he puts his Haas in the wall too often.
Formula One journalist Joe Saward reveals in his blog post that the pressure is mounting on Schumacher. Haas would already be pretty tight because of all the crashes of the German and therefore thinking about a new driver for 2023. Ferrari, however, also has something to say about this. Mick is part of the Ferrari junior team and was designated by the Italian team as the driver for Haas.
Opportunity at Aston Martin
Ferrari itself has few replacements ready. Robert Shwartzman was still second in F2 in 2021, but as a Russian will not be in action this year. Antonio Giovinazzi cannot necessarily be called an upgrade and Callum Ilott has already found his place in IndyCar. The next batch of Ferrari talents are racing in F3 and for them (Arthur Leclerc and Oliver Bearman) F1 is still too early. Haas could also opt for another driver, but then it would probably no longer get a discount from Ferrari when buying the engine.
According to Saward, Schumacher's management would also look at what the other options are. Aston Martin would come into the picture as a replacement Sebastian Vettel. In the paddock there is the thought that Schumacher is probably not much faster than Lance Stroll, and that father Lawrence would therefore like to see the German come.
