Red Bull Racing did not travel to the Azerbaijan Grand Prix empty-handed. The team has introduced an update to the floor for added performance. Helmut Marko is cautiously optimistic about the RB18's modified floor.

"It worked well," Marko told ServusTV after the second free practice session. "We are the fastest on the straights, so that is good for the race."

However, it was not either of the Red Bull drivers who topped the timesheet in FP2, but Charles Leclerc in his Ferrari. The Monegasque was over two tenths faster than Sergio Perez. The Mexican driver was however again faster than Max Verstappen after being the fastest driver on track in FP1.

Marko surprised about Verstappen's problems

Verstappen's DRS seems to be working as usual this weekend, but the rear wing was clattering a lot during the first practice session. As a result, Red Bull had to make repairs to the DRS at the beginning of FP2. Marko is surprised by the fact that Verstappen is the only one affected.

"The wings are completely identical in terms of weight and construction. In one case it works perfectly, in the other it works less well than expected," the Red Bull advisor said.
