Marko: 'Being at the front is nice, but further to the back not a big disadvantage'

Helmut Marko is not worried about qualifying. Even if Ferrari manages to drag in the pole position again, the Red Bull advisor thinks his team can come back in the race.
On Friday, Marko already let it be known after the free practice sessions that he is not worried. All season it already seems that Ferrari is faster in qualifying, while Red Bull pushes the pace during the race. This seems to be the case again in Baku, even though Sergio Perez was again the fastest man during FP3.
Speaking to ServusTV, Marko says: "All analyses show that we are a tad faster with full tanks." At the Monaco Grand Prix, qualifying is the most important session of the weekend, as overtaking is difficult on the narrow street circuit. Due to Ferrari's strategic error, Red Bull still managed to secure victory, but normally it would have been more difficult.
Marko highlights key difference
Marko emphasizes that Baku is a very different street circuit compared to Monaco. "Baku is not like Monte Carlo. It's nice to be at the front, but it's not a big disadvantage to start further back."
